Nepa Ltd. a Government Company was the first paper mill in India is now facing danger of its existence due to Great Government Policies of 1992 popularly known as LPG.
The entire town whose population is more than 50,000 is dependent on this company's life. Production machine has not been changed from 1947, Wage plan applicable is 1992's wage rate scheme. Not a single effort has been made by Government in order to bridge the company again.
Government in order to sublime the private companies managed to damage their own revenue generating units.
They have their own school , college, hospital and the only thing lacking is Funds............
Govt of India simply removed the quota of raw material to be purchased from this company and now the results are upfront, the only famous thing about NEPA is their Rest Houses which are used mostly by our so called public servants for their entertainment acts.
